Detailed Subject Breakdown
1. Medicine-I & Gynecology
Course: Diagnostic procedures, systemic disorders, communicable diseases, gynecology
Practical: Physical examination, hospital cases, gynecological procedures
2. Surgery-I
Course: Surgical conditions, wound care, shock, abdominal/chest conditions, orthopedics
Practical: Instrument handling, suturing, fracture management, antenatal exam
3. Basic Medical Procedures & First Aid
Course: History taking, vital signs, infection prevention, drug administration
Practical: CPR, bandaging, suturing, emergency management
4. Clinical Pathology
Course: Microbiology, parasitology, hematology, biochemistry
Practical: Lab techniques, staining, blood tests, urine/stool analysis
5. Pharmacology & Pharmacy
Course: General pharmacology, drug classes, clinical pharmacy
Practical: Drug profile, solution preparation, dose calculation
6. Environmental Health
Course: Environment-health, water/waste management, pollution
Practical: Water disinfection, waste disposal, field trips
7. Health Education
Course: Health education principles, communication, program planning
Practical: Material preparation, role plays, workshops, counseling
8. Primary Health Care & Family Health
Course: PHC concepts, nutrition, MCH, family planning, demography
Practical: Anthropometry, BMI, diet planning, FP counseling

Assessment & Grading
Pass Marks:
- Theory: 40% minimum
- Practical: 50% minimum
Grading System:
- Distinction: 80% and above
- First Division: 65% to below 80%
- Second Division: 50% to below 65%
- Pass Division: Pass marks to below 50%
Attendance: Minimum 90% required
Certificate: “Proficiency Certificate Level in General Medicine”
